Kathleen Fowler- Just your average geek. She loves playing DND, reading, acting, and watching Jake Clands play football from under the bleachers in secret. She's always thought Jake was cute, even though he's a jock and would never think twice to humiliate her if he ever met her. She's about to get a wake up call when she learns that Jake is hiding a secret from everyone, that he isn't "Popular Material" when the majority of people are around, and that he is nicer than she thinks.

Rocky Alston- Recently moved to Appaloosa Plains, Rocky has a thing for attracting girls, even though he's not trying and doesn't want the attention. He's really into legends of magical creatures, even though he believes they're real. He also has a thing for playing the drums, and can be constantly found listening to his I pod when it's passing time during school. He doesn't believe any girl could ever love him besides for his looks, until he meets Florence Clands.
