The Boy Of The Night Part 14

Not Recommended For People Thirteen And Under

Three to four more chapters before The Boy Of The Night comes to an end :(
But fear not! If you are wanting more from me, I'm going to be doing a story on either Issac and Nylora, with their own little adventures alone at boarding school, but you have to decide which one you want me to do!

I couldn't get the poll to work on my blog, so it's at the top of my facebook page, which you should like if you haven't already ;)

(Rae)

I started to paint the outline of Nylora's face as I noticed Valentine looking at my most recent work of art I'd finished ", enjoying my art work of you and Issac before you head to your party handsome?"
"Ya, you captured Issac's eyes so well, but am I really that fat?"

"You're not fat at all Val! If anything, what you're seeing is pure muscle!"
"I'm pretty sure that's fat Rae," he admitted, looking down at his body figure ", I just can't think of how this could be muscle."
"I could prove to you after you get back that you're not fat, but that's if you want."
"Are you asking for what I'm thinking you're asking me? If you are, then it's a yes. Deidra is doing her own little thing in her room, messing with my guitar, Issac and Nylora won't be coming to visit till next Saturday. Yep, tonight I'm free after this party."
"Good then, see you afterwards you sexy beast," I told him, slapping his butt as he passed by.
"Wow there beautiful! Not until I get back!" he laughed, giving me a kiss on the cheek ", love you Rae, I'll be back at eleven at the most."

I'd been invited to a party by an actor I've worked with before. Since it was going to be an all night, come as you go party, I'd decided I'd go. I really wasn't looking forward to it, being shy and all, but the person who'd invited me was a personal friend of mine, and how could I say no?
I regretted my choice of coming when I noticed someone standing at the corner of the entrance room, giving me an evil glare as I noticed him ", hello son. Long time no see as the humans say."

I tried to retain my anger as he walked over to me, ever muscle in my body ready to lunge at him if needed ", what do you want dad?"
"Revenge, haven't you learned this already?" he lifted his hand and looked at his finger nails, admiring how long and sharp they were ", you didn't learn your lesson when I tried to kill your lover. You didn't take a hint when I tried to poison you, and then that son of yours refused to work with me after I offered him anything he wanted!"
"You tried to do what to Issac!?!?" I yelled at him.

"You leave my family out of your revenge plans! They don't deserve to have to deal with the likes of you!"
"But you won't learn anything from me unless you've had your heart broken like mine was! You took your mother away from me, and then went off with a human. You hear me? A brainless scum of a human!"
"Have you forgotten that you were a human once?" I asked, pointing my finger at him ", you were a human at one point of your life.  Did you not all at miss being a human when you became a vampire? Did you forget about how great the sun felt on your skin, without it feeling like it was peeling like an onion? Did you forget how the taste of actual food was like? How it was not salty and the variety of what you could have? Have you forgotten about all the friends you left behind as you stayed the same, but they died off, because they weren't like you? Being a vampire isn't a blessing like you and mom tried to tell me, it's a curse!"

"I know it's a curse!" Vladimir finally admitted, after thirty-one years of him telling me it was a blessing to be immortal, he was finally admitting it wasn't ", it's the worst thing possible on this planet, living forever. When I was turned, I tried to lie to myself that it wasn't, that it made you somehow better, but I've always known that it did the opposite. The cons out weigh the pros. There is nothing good about being a vampire. You should be lucky you were never a human son, because then you wouldn't miss it so much."

"You're wrong dad, I'm not lucky at all," I tried to explain to him ", I've always wanted to know what it felt like to be a human, but I've never had the pleasure to do that. I've never known what sun light really should feel like. I've never been able to taste a PB&J or a high quality chef prepared cuisine dish. I've never even known what it feels like to have a heart beat, but you have! The only good thing about being a vampire is immortality, which in itself is a curse! I haven't even around as long as you, and I've already witnessed people I've gotten close to as friends getting old. It sickens me so much! Even if I can't be for a human, then I at least want to be able to go into the sunlight, even for just a second, and not have to worry about burning up alive like I have had to do for thirty-one years."

Something snapped into place in my fathers mind as I told him what it really meant for me to be a vampire. I wasn't sure how to react when he started to cry right there in front of me ", why did you have to remind me so much of who I was when I first became a vampire?" he yelled at me, trying to hold back his tears.
"Dad, what are you talking about?"
"You are exactly like me before I let your mother get a hold of my thoughts. You are exactly like I was."
"And I believe you still can be, if you really do believe you can be."

"It's impossible Valentine," he said to me, more of lying to himself more than anything though ", It's been so long, I'd never be able to go back to the way things used to be."
"Dad, stop lying to yourself! If you believe you can, you will!"
"It's not that Valentine, in order for me to be my old self... I'd have to find her again."
"What do you mean her? Are you talking about mom?"
"No, I'm talking about someone I met before I was with your mother, someone I loved very much, even more than your mother, and she was a human when I fell for her."
