A Clands Legacy Special: Adventures In China

Welcome to A Clands Legacy Special: Adventures In China. The adults go on a "relaxing" trip to China, where Volina and BreAnne learn some news about what their family is to experience soon if they don't prepare generation four for what lies ahead of them. If you want to understand more, and haven't done so, please read The Destruction Of The Codes, which ties into this chapter.

BreAnne: Ya, I'd like a six day trip to Shang Simla, China for three... why China? Because I want to learn some martial arts, my hubby wants to learn more about the culture and my daughter needs a place to relax... yes, we want to leave as soon as we can. We need a place to get away from possessed cars that our in our drive way.

Yep, the adults need to get out of Appaloosa Plains for a while. When you have enough ghosts walking around your place to make a car stand on it's back wheels, it's time for a vacation.

You also know you need to get out of town when your body is stuck inside Lenndy's body.

Josia: GET ME OUT OF HERE! I haven't even been married a week to BreAnne and they're already trying to take me to their graves!

Lenndy: Not my fault you and I decided to use the stairs at the same time.

Josia: WHEN AM I LEAVING THIS HOUSE FOR CHINA! I NEED THIS VACATION!

China wasn't what the three thought it would of been however. They were actually very disappointed at first.

Volina: So this is our hotel? Could we not afford a nicer one or something?

BreAnne: It looked better in the brochure. I assure you, you'll like being here Volina.

Volina: Whatever, I'm going to explore town a bit. What are you planning on doing Josia?

Josia: Shopping, I promised Jake I'd get him some books, and I wanted to get some cheap knock offs for relics. What about you Bre?

BreAnne: I'm going to the Martial Arts Academy. I figured I should learn some moves like the pros.

Josia: It would of been nice to know that no one is in the market at eight in the morning. What am I supposed to do now?

BreAnne: This is the legendary Academy I keep hearing about? Not much of anything of you ask me. It is kind of pretty though. I'll give it a shot for now.

Volina: That is a lot of stairs... are they trying to get me in a bad mood? I'm still upset about Efren, and they expect me to climb to the top of that thing and down it again whenever I want to go inside or into town?

Maybe if you weren't wearing high heels, it wouldn't be so bad.

Volina: You're right, I think I'll put some sandals on. Better yet, I'll change my whole outfit. It's about time I got myself a new outfit that wasn't maternity wear.

Volina: This would be when Efren puts his arms around me and says I look like a goddess. *sigh* I wonder if he's okay. If I could just speak to him once, even just see if he's alright, I'd be okay. Maybe I should take my mother's advice, just relax. I should visit some place in town. That should calm my nerves.

BreAnne: Come on! How hard is it to hit this thing! Work you stupid piece of wood, WORK!!!!

BreAnne: Owww! My eye! I think I've learned my first martial arts lesson. Never disrespect the training equipment. It hurts when you don't.

Josia: So what would a young teenager who likes books want to read. Any ideas?

Book Store Cashier: Anything to deal with lousy plots, vampires who sparkle,  and cheesy love stories. Teens are really into that stuff these days.

Josia: He's not a Twilight fan the last time I checked.

Book Store Cashier: Oh so he reads real books? I have tons of real books here. They're kind of out of the average price range though...

Josia: I'll buy them. I have money that the family never spends and never will, so why not use it?

(Sorry if I got any Twilight lovers mad.)

While the adults did they're thing in China, Florence's birthday came around. She'd recently had her feelings hurt by Dirk, the guy she'd been so fond of until he embarrassed her in front of the whole school during an assembly by calling her a boy's toy, because she was any only girl in her family. It ruined her trust for anyone but her family for life it would seem, and she wasn't sure she'd ever get over it. Maybe a special guy would do the trick, a guy who would love her for being her, and protect her from the crowds of people who were out to harm her.

Volina: These people are looking at me like I'm weird. Am I offending them by swimming in here or something?

Maybe they think your hot in that swimsuit. XD It's probably what you said though.

Volina: Great, now that I can't go swimming, I'm going to have to find someplace else to go... that building looks like a good place to start.

Volina: It looks so inviting. What's this thing in the middle of the floor? It looks like some random slab of stone.

Volina: It says, "Stand on me". Simple enough. It's not like a secret stair way will appear or...

Volina: Oh look, a secret stair way. Well, it's not so secret anymore. I wonder what's down there.

You're supposed to be relaxing, not exploring some unknown passage way.

Volina: But it looks like so much fun! I'm going down there, just to see what's at the bottom, then I'll be right...

Volina: I'm staying down here.

What? Are you mad?

Volina: You and I both know that Keiko is the mad one. Besides, I found this key earlier today and I think it just might fit.

You are mad, even if Keiko is slightly more so than you.

Yep, it fits. Now I'm guessing your going to keep going?

Volina: Ya, what else would I do? This is too exciting not to pass up! There might be treasure or something!

I'm sure there is, along with lions and tigers and bears.

Volina: No oh mys from me. Sorry narrator, but I'm going to keep going.

The rest of the week, Volina couldn't stop herself. She just had to keep exploring all the tombs and tunnels she found. It was like something snapped inside of her to make her change her ways. This was the life...

... Clearing piles of rubble...

... Finding secret doors...

... Diving into wells...

... Risking your hands life to poisoned filled bugs...

... but most of all, finding treasure! It was the most accelerating feeling she'd ever had besides being close to Efren. Maybe this was the reason she loved it so much. It could fill the gap in her heart from Efren for the time being.

As Volina continued her exploration, BreAnne and Josia did what any newly married couple would do. Can anyone guess what that is?

The ever so popular Who hoo. What else would there be to do for two people who are deeply in love? I bet Amit is very jealous right now.

When Volina did come back to the base, she ran into Jihaan Ari, an explorer from Egypt who she'd hear from some locals was looking for a precious artifact, but had been unsuccessful in doing so. Volina knew she had to go after this artifact, but first she was going to go to the Dragon Cave she'd seen while walking home. There had to be some nice stuff there, right?

After talking about the artifact with Jihaan, Volina knew she had to go for it. A weapon powerful enough to remove boulders was exactly what an evil sim needs, although Volina wasn't going to use it for harms way. She wasn't like that anymore ever since she met Efren.

After getting a quick nights sleep, she went straight for the cave, which was scary looking if you ask me, but Volina thought it looked cool.

Volina: That is awesome! The eyes have an evil glow to them! This is my kind of cave. Why can't we have some of these in Appaloosa Plains?

At the stoke of dawn, BreAnne was once again at the academy, training for her next belt. It was all her mind was focused on except Josia.

BreAnne: Ya! I broke the board! Well... a foam board, but still! I broke it!

Bravo, you are amazing. Now try something harder.

BreAnne: Ahhhhhhhhhh.......

That's what I thought, scaredy cat.

Once again, Volina was lost for words as she explored the place.

Volina: This place is astonishing! I need to decorate my dining room like this. Well, I better go into the other room and check on that huge door I found. It has to have something important behind it.

When she entered the room, fire arose from the floor in front of her. She thought nothing of it until she started to see something behind it. A vision of two people embracing each other like old friends. She didn't recognize one of them, but the other she knew right away.

Mystery Guy: It's so nice to see you after so long. What's it been? Fifteen years at the least? No matter, It's about time we got you got out of here.

Efren: Thank you Lestat, it's nice seeing you too. If we're going to get out of here alive, we're going to have to do it quick. The doctor has sent all his minions somewhere, but I have no idea where. As long as they're not going after my family...

Lestat: You have a family? Your a dad now huh?

Efren: Yep, three boys, one girl and a step son, but that's not important right now. We have to get out of this place before the patrols come around.

Lestat: No problem, safe haven here we come. I'll get you to your kids as soon as we can. I promise.

Volina thought she was going crazy finally. She couldn't of possibly of seen Efren, but in her heart she knew it had been him. He was alive, and it looked like he was okay and coming home soon. She had to see him again, somehow, she was going to see him again. She went to a local merchant who knew a lot about the dragon cave to ask him about if seeing visions was normal for that place, where he informed her it was, but there was a catch...

Merchant: The vision is a one time thing. It's rare to even have one if that. The cosmos must really want you to do something if you had one. It only happens after a few centuries to a true adventurer.

Volina: Are you telling me if I go back, I won't have another vision? But I want to see my husband again!

Merchant: I'm sorry lady, but you won't have another vision if you go back. It just happens that way.

Back home, yet another Clands child was to become a teenager. The lose of his father had really left him blind to how he was supposed to live, one of the things being who to fall in love with. Rhys had seen a new girl recently after getting detention for being late to school, and he'd fallen head over for her. He was willing to do anything to get her love back, but unknown to him, there was a girl he's already won over, and if he'd just takes the time to realize it, she'd be the one he really wants, not this bad girl who only wanted him to carry out her terrible plans when she didn't want to get into trouble.

Volina: Maybe I'll have another vision in my sleep. That's when the mind is more open for them, right?

It's possible, but don't keep your hopes up. You don't want to be disappointed in the morning if it doesn't happen.

In the upper room, BreAnne and Josia were at it again. Whenever these two are in the same room, all they do is romantic stuff, on their own free will! I don't even have to press the flirt button and they're already who hooing. It's kind of scary, especially when your mother walks into the room and says "you're making them do it again?" when I un-expectantly intrude on them. I'm not the one doing it! They are!

In the morning, Volina wasn't in the best of moods, she'd put her hopes too high for another vision of Efren, only to see nothing.

Volina: No visions sadly, and I doubt I'll have one today again while searching for the Pangu's Axe.

You never know, the axe might trigger another vision or something.

Volina: Although it does sound like a powerful axe, I don't think it could do that.

Volina decided she had enough with trying to keep her dress clean and dry, so she tried another aproach, a leather jacket, jean shorts, a t-shirt, long rubber boots and ripped fish net leggings. It seemed to help her ability to maneuver around traps anyway.

She already knew that by the time she got to the wells, she'd already gotten farther than Jihaan had. The explorer claimed she couldn't even pass the first door, but it opened right up for Volina.

The rest of the journey wasn't as easy though.

Volina: What is that?!?!

I think it's a trap that shoots up  water, what do you think?

Volina: I think I should blow it up, I'm a high enough inventor to do so. Oh wait, I can't because it might cave in this whole cave system. Rats!

Volina: Stupid water, it got me even more wet!

Welcome to the life of an explorer. Full of singed skin, wet clothes and...

... puzzles. Wow, this is going to take a while. Did you bring a tent?

Volina: No... I was too busy thinking about why I didn't have a vision again... is that what I think it is?

Volina: It is! Pangu's Axe at last! Now I just need to grab it and...

Volina: ... What's going on! I just reached for it and... and it came right too me!

It seems your it's rightful owner to me. Your the only person for a thousand years to be able to get to it, never a less hold it.

Before Volina could come to grasp what was going on, another vision had yet to appear before her very eyes. This time Efren was with the guy, Lestat, and another girl who looked to be in the early stages of being pregnant.

Lestat: We have to get to the home planet of your family! They're in danger if the doctor learns that your possibly the father of the chosen five!

Efren: But the time stream is filled with the doctor's minions, more so than ever before. We're risking our lives already by leaving this dimension and going to the one right next door. We can't possibly make it all that way to my family without attracting the whole army of the doctor along with tons of creatures would just love to have some mythic flesh.

Lestat: You're right, but how are we going to warn them of the up coming danger?

Pregnant Lady: We don't have to.

Lestat & Efren: What?

Pregnant Lady: She's having a vision of us talking right now. I can see it. We've already warned her enough. Now it's in her hands. Us however, let's get out of here before this place collapses on us!

Volina: This axe is more powerful than I expected! I.. I don't think I can control it much longer...

Right as the axe started to swing itself toward the ground, Volina was mysteriously transported to some sort of natural spring, where the axe met contact with a huge boulder, bringing the rock to it's end, shattering it to a million pieces.

Volina: Wow, now that is some smashing power, and I can finally hold this thing without it causing visions of Efren, although I'm happy it did. The question is, what do I do now that I know my family is in danger?

Volina: Josia, where is my mom? I think it's about time we head home.

Josia: So soon? I agree though, I think it is about time we left as well. She's at the Scholar's Gardens. She said she thought it would be the best possible place for her to meditate on her martial arts. You want to go with me to tell her we should head back home?

Volina: Sure, by the way, I don't ever recall seeing either of you this trip much. What were you doing most of the time?

Josia: Ahhhhhh.....

Basic summery of BreAnne and Josia's trip to China when they weren't reading, buying stuff and doing martial arts.

Josia: We went into town a few times to buy some relics. That's about it.

Volina: I have plenty of those, and I didn't need to buy them! I explored some of the tombs and found loads of stuff! I'll show you them once we get home.

Josia: You did? So you enjoyed this trip then?

Volina: Yes, but I miss my kids. I want to see them so badly. Can we go get my mom now? It's getting late and if we want to catch a ride out, we have to be ready by sunrise.

(Later that night)

Volina: I think you should check on her this time, since I did it last.

Josia: As long as you don't burn my marshmallows again, I'll do it.

Josia: Exactly how we found her, stuck in meditation. *Ring Ring* And there goes my phone, with no response from her still. I wonder who it could be.

Josia: Oh! Sheriff Micheal! Nice to hear from you again (What is he doing calling me?)... Yes, my wife, Volina and I are in China. What's going on with the kids back home?

Josia: Ya, BreAnne has been training in the art of martial arts while we were here. Now can you please answer my question about how the kids are doing?...

Josia: I'm sure BreAnne would love to teach you a few moves, but you still have yet to answer my question about...

Josia: You're joking! Rhys would never have the guts to do such a thing as... he admitted to it?!?! THAT KID IS SO GETTING A LECTURE WHEN I SEE HIM!!!!!... Oh, thanks for telling me Sheriff Micheal. Bye *Hang up* BreAnne! Rhys was caught doing-

Josia: BreAnne? Are you okay? You're glowing green.

BreAnne it's me, the narrator again. I need to show you something very important, because I know Volina can't do it alone. She needs you in a time like this.

Efren: She can't possible teach our children how to control their powers in time. The doctor could send his minions after them at anytime once he realizes they could be the chosen five. We have to find someway to get one of us there, it doesn't even have to be me!

Lestat: I wish we could, but it would be putting them in danger if we did. The doctor could follow even that one person and then you could say goodbye to your family.

Efren: I know, if anything, I just wish my wife tells her mother about what she saw in that vision when she touched Pangu's Axe. She is one of the most strong willed people I know, and if my children are to learn the skills they need to fight off monsters that come after them, they will need to learn it from her.

Awake BreAnne, awake and start training your grandchildren for the struggle they are to come forth with. Awake and show the world who is to not be messed with, the Clands family!

BreAnne: Wow, that was a strange vision.

Volina: Oh mother, you're finally awake! What was that you were saying about a vision?

BreAnne: I think we need to go home. From what I saw, you've been having visions about our family being in danger?

Volina: Yes, I have, but how did you know?

BreAnne: The narrator was trying to warn me about how I needed to help out before trouble comes, and I know exactly how to do it.

Thanks for reading A Clands Legacy Special: Adventures In China. The next special will be about Jake's search for love in someone out of his rank of popularity, and what he's willing to do to win her heart, and protect her from a jealous soul, who wants his love instead and will do everything in her power to do so. I might also have another chapter of The Destruction Of The Codes out. Once all of the teens specials come out, The Destruction Of The Codes and The Clands Legacy are going to be butting heads for a while. I thank all of you again.
